The Independent National Electoral Commission have announced the last day for campaign rallies. Those affected by this new dates are Presidential candidates, candidates for National Assembly, Governorship candidates and candidates of the State House of Assembly.
According to the information that was shared on their verified Facebook Page, the last Day of campaign for all the elections were fixed to be just two days before each election.
For the Presidential and National Assembly election, the last day of campaign is on the 23rd of February 2023. While the last day of campaign for those contesting for both the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections is 9th of March 2022.
It will be recalled that INEC had earlier fixed the date for the election into the office of the President and the National Assembly (Both Senate and House of Representatives) is on the 25th of February 2022, while the date for the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections is 11th of March 2023.
