In the early hours of today, Vanguard Newspaper reported that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state recently spoke at a religious function in the state and revealed the fastest growing religion in the state.
Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo said, "Idolatry is the fastest growing religion in the state and we (the church) must not take it for granted because it is our common enemy." The governor added that if the people of Anambra stand united, they will survive the crisis the state is experiencing. Governor Soludo said if the indigenes go separately, it will not help in the growth of the state.
Speaking further, Governor Charles Soludo said, "no matter what the criminal elements come or operate with, if we have the bible in our hands, we can prevail over them."
Before today, the governor is known to have ordered the total destruction of shrines used by criminal elements in the state to cause pandemonium.
Lastly, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo said Anambra state is in the hands of God. He urged the indigenes not to relent in praying that God takes criminals from the state and make it the light of the nation.
