1. Cameroon
In the Central African country, large population of Igbo tribe can be found. According to estimate, there are about one hundred and five thousand Igbo speakers in the Anglophone and Francophone nation.
2. Nigeria
The Igbo are the second largest group of people inhabiting a large part of southeastern Nigeria, mostly on the eastern side of the Niger River. In the present day Nigeria, Igboland is roughly made up of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Northern Delta, and Rivers. More than 30 million people inhabit Igboland, and are socially and culturally diverse, consisting of many subgroups.
3. Gabon
The French-speaking nation located at the Central part of Africa is one of the African countries where Igbo tribe can be found. The Igbo presence in Gabon is one that the country's current president, Ali Bongo Ondimba, was alleged to be of Igbo descent by French Investigative Journalist, Pierre Pean, about six years ago.
4. Equatorial Guinea
In the Spanish-speaking and small oil-rich African country, the Igbo ethnic group comprises of 5% of the population of the country which is estimated to be around one million four hundred and fifty four thousand seven hundred and eighty nine, hence are considered as a minority group. The Igbos were officially declared by the government of Equatorial Guinea as the third largest ethnic group in the country after Fang and Bubi tribes. The Igbo tribe in the country lives in a small area in Bioko Island.
